tolpen: A waist-up portrait of the Soft-Eyed Mycologist. He is a man with dark skin and long dark hair, wearing a cyan waistcoat a white shirt. He is lifting a red mask from his face. He is wearing large round golden pince-nez. (the soft-eyed mycologist)

Re: Encountered in Veilgarden

"Artn't thou a charmer, Professor," he chuckless. He bows with a flourish and takes the Chimeric Professor's hand, giving a little kiss to the air just above the knuckles. "Alas, no such a devious scheme on my mind. This is merely my outfit most suitable for a night out."
While not untrue, the purpose of the apocyan is, of course is to make everyone remember his presence, which is more useful than remembering his absence.

He looks around, which sends his heavy earrings jingling and glimmering, tips a nonexistent hat to a tabby passing by. The cat gives the pair a suspicious look, and slinks away into an alleyway.
Only then the Mycologist remembers - or rather pretends to remember - the little package. He offers it to the Professor: "I have taken the liberty of procuring this for thee. Think nothing of it, if thou mightst."

The package is very light. Beneath the paper is a cardboard box containing four glass test-tubes, each filled with a different powder. Someone extremely carefully labelled them:

  • Orange-Milk Bolete
  • Cardamom-Cinnamon-Clove (C3)
  • Ginger / Cayenne
  • Anniseed / Lemon
